“ Right now, I feel an immense mix of emotions… a beautiful big big mess—I feel like crying and smiling at the same time while rethinking these weeks and especially the people I’ve met.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart because what I experienced has helped me grow so much. The word I would use to describe all of this is unexpected: I hadn’t planned anything as I usually do, I hadn’t had time to build expectations, I didn’t know anyone… but I am so grateful.

And now that I am at home it is difficult to put all of what I’ve lived and felt into words, into a single story, not just because of what we have done, but also because each  person who has shared all of this with me on the boat has a world inside.

This journey has also helped me so much to step out of our European bubble, to break free from those boundaries that separate us and at the same time to challenge many prejudices and see the reality for what it truly is. Now I’m home, but I know somewhere else in the world I have true friends and with each of them I’ve shared a part of my life-path. When we have said goodbye to each other we have all said “ I’m waiting for you in my country”: This is the proof that mediterranean people are and want to be united ”
