« The sea is a wide teacher. A much wider one than what, I could ever imagine . Bel Espoir brought all these lessons clearly to us in the company of his beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

This journey was a realisation that living in a healthy way and create a new family : Is Possible. That Humanity could be a big Family.

Humans always think that we need decades of change to compromise ,but for us all that was needed was a way to sing together, a place to discuss common issues and a safe open mind and ear to listen and understand, what the Heart was saying.

We are so different. Work in different fields. Have different religions. But we shared the language of the Heart. Just with different words.

Another aspect of daily life that I practiced through this trip was living simply. We ate just small portions ,so we could go through the day( especially in the beginning i tried my best to not eat a lot because I had no idea how the seasickness would affect me). People trained on the boat, we danced daily and we had common time to discuss under the stars before we went to bed. Our food was super nutritious -thank you Soso- ! We practiced sustainability, by collectively managing the water and all of us did help to navigate the boat, there where noone just having one role. All of us were a part of the boats navigation.

Also , another important aspect was Natures Beauty we experienced. In my country, Greece, many fields are now being used for renewable energy production. This is being done without care from our governments. The materials that are used are so far away from humans nature and they are totally unbalanced with the environment. In this trip we felt that in the sea ,still noone has touched nature. She gave us back all the empowerment and beauty we needed to create new healthy realities in our countries. Encourage people to trust themselves and remind them that they too, have the solution born inside them to create beauty and peace. When you see a non industrial or touristic island your mind remembers what is needed for humanity to move forward. Humans need to be reminded how the earth looked like before industries and tourism. Before hyperconsumption was a daily habit. What is needed for humanity to create miracles is to support and care for our Earth and Environment in every way possible!

One beautiful initiative for Crete would be to create a common hour per week in a public place ,were refugees and locals come and gather to speak. It could be about any daily subject. And it could be followed by a common meal and cooking plus dancing and singing. I dream to see people of every culture speaking with each other even if they don’t agree. Communication finds its paths and strength.

I also would love to have this space for children and teenagers, maybe even in an online platform because younger generations are really shy nowadays. Beside that, this would be a good way for them to use the internet platforms in a sustainable and regenerating way.

Last but not least, a message to the governments would be for people in power to start participating daily again in their communities. For people that create laws to create them after they listened to the local communities ,to the indigenous people. They hold deep knowledge and important information. My wish for every government and person in power is to start living more simply and reunderstanding that the true wealth is not hidden in money, but in our collective health and care for each other as human beings. We have the responsibility to create a better world, without wars and with more dialogue and communication between indifferences. We are creating history and it would be so beautiful for the next generations to be grateful for it.
