Dialogue of cultures

The first stage of the MED 25 Le Bel Espoir odyssey led us to take up the "Shared Story" of the five shores of the Mediterranean. The cultural exchanges experienced between the South and the North, between the West and the East, over the centuries, shed light on the many points of contact that make this sea a unique "intercultural bridge" in the world. The dialogue of cultures, in its artistic, literary and architectural dimensions, shows how peoples are enriched by the permeabilities that are always present in the search for truth and the expression of beauty.

"Intercultural dialogue, based on shared values, must help the people of our time to seek what is good and true, to respect the dignity and freedom of all. », PP Bernard Ardura, Pontifical Council for Culture, 2013
