Prayer vigil led by the Taizé group at the Saint Laurent church. Open to all.
As part of the Med25Belespoir meetings, we are offering a prayer vigil in the spirit of the Taizé Community, with the participation of young people from different countries around the Mediterranean. This vigil is intended to be a space for prayer, communion, hope, and peace. It is inspired by the Taizé style of prayer: deep within the human condition lies the expectation of a presence. Meditative chants, times of silence, listening to the Word of God, intercessions, and symbolic gestures will help everyone enter into a profound inner experience and pray together, despite the diversity of languages and cultures.
Know this: a simple desire for God is already the beginning of faith.
And when Jesus Christ lets himself be perceived in the beauty of a simple common prayer, a thirst to better understand God becomes alive. “Come and follow me, I will give you a place to rest your heart.”
The vigil is open to everyone. Believers or not, we are all in the same boat. All believers on earth form a large family of friends; it is up to us to extend this friendship to everyone.
