FORUM, Space 2 – Building Peace, 4 Voices

A 4-voice Priest/Imam/Rabbi/Pastor workshop will be held on the theme “Building Peace Today: The Role and Challenge of Religions in the Face of Violence and Division.”      

It is striking to note that, both in history and in our time, human beings have often seen their fundamental rights violated and their dignity deeply affected in contexts where religion occupied and still occupies a central place. This paradox is all the more striking given that different religious traditions, in their essence, promote values such as love, compassion, solidarity and peace. What share of responsibility does believers and religious institutions bear in perpetuating or resolving conflicts? And how can these actors contribute, in a concrete way, to the establishment of authentic and lasting peace?
