“35 people, 17 days, on a 28-meter 3-mast ship off the Mediterranean, each of different nationalities, religions, ages, commitments and genders ⛵️☀️🌍

From Palermo to Bizerte and from Bizerte to Palermo, we explored together what peace, love, respect, curiosity and piracy, but also discomfort, promiscuity, illness, and limited resources could mean for each of us. In this imaginary country called Bel Espoir, we tailor-made a dream of coexistence, strong in love for others in their differences, but also the reality of a bond that will unite us all for the rest of our lives as daughters and sons of a Mediterranean whose common heritage we share.

The storms and nausea of the beginning allowed the progressive chiseling of a fierce belonging to this ship, of which each one will bring back a fragment to Marseille and Brittany but also Beirut, Alexandria, Madrid, Athens, Tunis, Oran, Yerevan, Amman, Aleppo, Palermo and in all the other cities where this wind of hope and curiosity will carry us 💌

More than ever today I am convinced of the need to seek one's own truth, to live a life of adventures made of encounters, shifts and universal complicity, beyond basic stigmas and divisive narratives. More than ever I am proud to come from this mixture of Brittany, Italy, Tunisia, Russia and to be able to be all of these at the same time by being from Marseille 💙 🤍 "
